A high explosive formula is pressed into pellets. One pellet is encapsulated at one end and the other is an open ended cylinder pellet. Both of these pellets are sensatizers for the range of cast boosters and are situated in the det-well to propagate consistent ignition and high order detonation of the cast booster upon application in the mining industry.
