Accurate's AAP3 boosters are bi-directional boosters with either RDX or HMX explosive incrementally pressed into an aluminum shell. The explosive load and pressing density are controlled and continually verified during the manufacturing process to ensure reliability. Bi-directional boosters are used as both acceptor and donor in the explosive train of perforating guns used during the completion of oil and gas wells. They are also widely used to sensitize detonating cord used for initiating Linear Shaped Charge for steel cutting applications in both the Demolition and Oil & Gas industries. Performance Dent Block Test: .020 inch dent, minimum, on 1018 Steel Block. Gap Transfer: Donor to Acceptor Transfer with 3 inch Gap.
